Yay another project!

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

I just posted a blog entry about the open source Twitter client I’ve been working on. It’s over at Buttered Cat Blog. Hopefully some help will start trickling in.

Looking for a new name for it instead of TweetTweet, what do you all say about Tweetldum? Seems to be the liked one so far.

I’ve been super lazy and haven’t gotten my old posts from Typo imported into wordpress, I definitely know there’s a few articles that get linked a bit so hopefully I’ll get them back soon.

Vivendi shuts down BIG King’s Quest fan game

Friday, October 7th, 2005

This is sad, from what it seems there’s no reason for them shutting it down, beyond some possible trademark violations of name maybe.

Digg descrption: An ambitious fan game, in development since 2000 and nearing completion has been shut down by Vivendi Universal Games (a.k.a Sierra Entertainment). King’s Quest IX was to be an alternative ending to the popular King’s Quest series. Some project stats: 40+ volunteer staff, 2000+ page script, 9 chapters, 450 characters, theme songs…

oh em gee, creepy quiznos baby

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

What goes through the advertisement people heads when they make commercials for these big companies? seriously. The quiznos commercial has that creepy talking baby and it bugs me. I also saw it twice in one commercial block, hate when that happens. Specially stupid commercials, like this one or car commercials.

Ever wonder if that’s a tactic they use, hey let’s make a commercial that bugs the hell out of people so they talk about it.

Not sure I like quiznos much anyway.

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005

“Google and Sun Microsystems will hold a press conference on Tuesday at which they’re expected to announce a collaboration to bring StarOffice productivity applications to Google users.”

Well I’ll be perking an ear to what exactly this is all about, always interested to see what google is up to. Though wish GTalk would get a better push.

The Physics of Extra-Terrestrial Civilizations from MKaku.org

MKaku.org | Articles | “The Physics of Extra-Terrestrial Civilizations”:
Interesting read about types of civilization and how they’re classified, and the limits within the laws of physics of possibilities of civilizations elsewhere. Give it a read if you like space and such!

what flavor pocky are you?

Wednesday, September 28th, 2005

Apparently it’s a snack for geeks, or rather geeks like it. Or so I’m told, or wrong. Alex was talking about it. I don’t know but apparently a silly quiz tells me this:

what flavor pocky are you?

Unlimited fuel for everyone! This car runs on air!

Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

Unlimited fuel for everyone! This car runs on air!:
Interesting, guess it’s not that new of news, but curious how viable this is over hydrogen or other forms of fuel.
Quote from the comments on digg: ‘This cars cost $2 to recharge with a air compressor and the electricity needed to run it, it gets 100 miles on a air tank so 50 miles for a buck.‘ Not sure if that’s accurate but sounds reasonable.
